Oplexa Demonstrates Transformer Math on Real Hardware with Edge 1

Business Insider coverage of Oplexa's Edge 1 hardware demonstration for transformer inference workloads.

About Oplexa

Oplexa is developing transformer-focused inference silicon for edge, sovereign, industrial, and defense applications. Its first product, Oplexa Edge 1, is designed for workloads that require predictable latency, efficient inference, private operation, and greater control over infrastructure.

The Broader Story

For much of the past decade, AI infrastructure investment has focused on training increasingly large models in centralized datacenters. The next phase is increasingly about deployment: running AI reliably in factories, hospitals, telecom networks, robotics platforms, defense systems, and other environments where cloud dependence may be impractical.

These deployments place greater emphasis on predictable latency, power efficiency, privacy, reliability, and infrastructure control. Oplexa is focused on the silicon and system architecture required for that shift.

Founder Quotes
“The first decade of AI infrastructure was about scaling training. The next decade will be about scaling deployment.”
